Shanklesh Labneh

Shanklish is a type of fermented labneh from cows or sheep milk popular in Syria and Lebanon. It is typically formed into small balls, which are often covered in zaatar and red pepper, then aged and dried but in our farms you can enjoy the taste of chanklish made from fresh labneh . Shanklish varies greatly in its texture and flavor. We have two types of shankilish one is made from cheese and other from labneh. Shanklish is generally eaten with finely-chopped tomato, onion, and olive oil. Shanklish is also mashed up with eggs or crushed in a pita with cucumbers, mint, and olive oil for breakfast .
